BROWNSVILLE - Volunteers at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brownsville have been working hard to provide help for illegal immigrants passing through Brownsville.
Catholic Charities officials say they will do all they can, but they are worried their volunteers may not be able to keep up.
Deacon Roberto Cano said, "The volunteers put in so many hours at the center, that by 10 or 11:30pm, they get burned out."
Deacon Cano said they are short on volunteers. Many volunteers have other jobs. With no end in site for the surge of illegal immigrants, they have to make the help they have last.
