The U.S. Department of Agriculture is warning consumers of a recent beef recall.
The government agency said food producer Cargill Incorporated is recalling approximately 30,000 pound of ground beef that may have been contaminated with salmonella. The ground beef was produced on May 25 at the company's Wyalusing, Penn., facility.
According to a Cargill news release, the beef was sold at stores in the Northeast U.S. at the end of May or early June.
