BROWNSVILLE - More than $500,000 worth of cocaine were confiscated in three separate incidents at the Brownsville Gateway International Bridge over the weekend.

The second incident happened on Sunday, just before midnight. A green Pontiac Sunfire driven by a 32-year-old man from Harlingen was referred to a secondary inspection where officers found five packages containing 12.13 pounds of cocaine. The drugs were hidden in the car's bumper.

The third seizure also happened on Sunday when a 22-year-old woman from Dallas tried to enter the U.S. through the pedestrian lane. Officers found the woman had 2.29 pounds of cocaine hidden on her body.
