Brownsville - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge intercepted a load of alleged methamphetamine and cocaine.
CBP officers discovered the alleged narcotics, valued at approximately $354,600, hidden within a Chevrolet Cobalt.
Officers encountered the black 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by a woman. The driver is identified as 21-year-old Brownsville resident.
During inspection CBP officers discovered three packages hidden within the vehicle, an additional 15 packages concealed within a wooden shelf found within the Chevrolet.
Officers removed the packages from the vehicle which held 7.8 pounds of alleged cocaine and 7.7 pounds of alleged methamphetamine.
CBP officers seized the narcotics and the vehicle and turned the woman over to Homeland Security for an investigation.
