RIO GRANDE CITY - U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized over a million dollars worth of marijuana in Rio Grande City.
The drugs were concealed within a commercial shipment of papayas on Wednesday. Officers discovered 112 packages, weighing more than 1,000 within the front wall of the trailer.
CBP seized the marijuana, which has an estimated street value of approximately $1,054,000, and the tractor-trailer as well.
