BROWNSVILLE - Customs and Border Protection officers on Tuesday seized more than $1 million in cocaine during two separate incidents at Brownsville ports of entry.
One seizure happened at B&M International Bridge. An 18-year-old woman was driving a vehicle that had eight bundles of drugs weighing more than 20 pounds. The load has a street value of $600,000, officials said.
The second seizure happened at the Veterans International Bridge. A 42-year-old Mexican national was arrested after officers found eight bundles of cocaine. The drug weighed more than 14 pounds. The cocaine load has an estimated value of $434,000.
Both drivers were arrested.
