BROWNSVILLE - Former Park Girl customers will keep writing mortgage checks every month for their mobile homes. But the money will go to the court.

Sixty-nine people are suing Jo Leigh Ares, the La Feria businesswoman known at "The Park Girl." They say she took their money without providing mobile homes or clean titles to the mobile homes.

A district judge in Cameron County ordered customers to send their payments to a court account. The money will stay there, until Ares goes to trial or a settlement is reached.
