STARR COUNTY - DPS troopers said a woman died in an accident in Starr County.

The crash happened on Highway 83 between Rio Grande City and Roma at around 9 p.m. Tuesday. DPS spokesperson Johnny Hernandez said a truck heading in the wrong direction slammed into a BMW.

A woman in the BMW died. Troopers identified her as 51-year-old Maria Guadalupe Aguilar-Flores. Her daughter, who was driving the vehicle, was injured.

Three people in the truck were also hurt. We're told a 19-year-old was thrown from the truck.

Troopers haven't released the victims' names. There's no word yet on the conditions of the other people involved.
