HOUSTON (AP) A Houston woman convicted of fatally stabbing her boyfriend with the 5 -inch stiletto heel of her shoe, hitting him at least 25 times in the face and head, may testify as the punishment phase of her murder trial resumes.

A Harris County jury found Ana Trujillo (troo-HEE'-yoh) guilty of murder for striking 59-year-old Alf Stefan Andersson with her stiletto shoe heel during an argument last June at his Houston condominium. Her attorneys say she was defending herself from attack.

Trujillo's attorney, Jack Carroll, has indicated he plans to call his client to the witness stand Thursday.

Prosecutors presented 19 witnesses during the punishment phase on Wednesday, including Andersson's sister who told jurors her brother's death is "like a nightmare."

Trujillo faces up to life in prison for Andersson's death.
