Driver Crashes Into Utility Pole in Weslaco

WESLACO - A driver crashes into a utility pole Thursday morning and runs off.
It happened in Weslaco on North Bridge Avenue right across from North Bridge Elementary. School employees say the power went out for a short time and they had to use a generator. The school never went on lockdown.
Weslaco police say the driver was heading south when the car crashed into the pole around 9 Thursday morning. The vehicle was not reported stolen. The driver got away.
