Edinburg - Attention all artists: Edinburg Arts and the City of Edinburg are partnering with the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) to bring FESTIBA Community Day, "Festival of Books and Art" on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Edinburg City Hall Courtyard from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. It will include children's activities, art, music, story time, a UTPA performance of James and the Giant Peach, book signings and readings.
Edinburg Arts will host a juried art show to be exhibited on Community Day. Organizers are making a call for artist's submissions. Submissions can be 2D, 3D, Digital, or Mixed Media with following "Education" as the overall theme.
Interested artists should email art images to Evana@edinburgedc.com. Please include the artist name, phone number, address, VITAE, Bio or Resume, artist statement, and at least 6 images of work. Packets can also be mailed to the EEDC, c/o Evana Vleck, 602 West University, Suite B, Edinburg, Texas 78539.
Following FESTIBA Community Day, artwork will also be exhibited at the Charles & Dorthy Clark Gallery at UTPA from April 4-13, 2012. Deadline to submit is March 16th.
