Fast Cash Fever: People Trying Their Luck at Texas Lottery after Edinburg Resident Wins Big

MCALLEN – A million dollar scratch-off ticket was sold in the Rio Grande Valley. The lucky purchase was made at a McAllen convenience store.

A $20 ticket bought at the Stripes store on Bicentennial Boulevard and Hackberry Avenue made an Edinburg resident an instant winner.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS spotted people at the same convenience store doing the same – trying to catch some of that luck.

In the past, two $5 tickets with $100,000 prizes were sold at the same store. The winner board at the store shows nearly $20,000 worth of claimed prizes.
