McALLEN - A father and his son will be in federal court for pretrial motions in the attempted murder case of a federal agent.
Pedro and Arnoldo Alvarado are accused of gunning down Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Kelton Harrison in July, 2012, near Hargill.
A third member of the family, Marquez Alvarado, on Tuesday was certified to stand trial as an adult in the case. The teen was 16 at the time of the shooting. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
