RIO GRANDE CITY - Starr County soon will see an increase in the number of federal agents in the region.
The increase in patrols is the result of numerous requests by state lawmakers to federal officials to do more to secure the region.
The initiative, called Boot Foot Print, calls for more surveillance and the deployment of two additional helicopters to Starr County.
