Fisherman Discovered Body in Laguna Madre

LAGUNA VISTA - Cameron County authorities are investigating a body found in the Laguna Madre this morning.
A fisherman discovered the body floating in the water near the Bridgeview Condos in Laguna Vista. That's near FM 510 and Highway 100.
Game wardens recovered the body. Investigators aren't sure who the person is or how they died. A judge ordered an autopsy.
This the third body found in the Lower Valley this week. Yesterday, a badly decomposed body was found near the Rio Grande in West Brownsville by a levee.
Investigators suspect the body had been there two weeks. Police tell us it's a woman's body and they don't know yet how she died.
Also, the Cameron County Sheriff's Office is working to identify a woman found dead near Beach Access 6 Tuesday. Investigators believe the woman was in her mid-30s.
They said her body was on the beach for nearly a week. The coroner is having a difficult time determining how she died.
