SCURRY, Texas (AP) Investigators say a former military-style jet has crashed and burned in a North Texas field.
Emergency personnel late Thursday morning responded to the blackened crash site near Scurry, about 30 miles southeast of Dallas. Lynn Lunsford with the Federal Aviation Administration had no immediately information on any survivors.
The debris appeared to have former military markings.
Lunsford says officials are trying to determine where the flight originated. He says the pilot apparently had not been in contact with air traffic controllers.
The National Weather Service says conditions at the time of the crash were clear and temperatures in the low 50s.
Further details weren't immediately available.
