OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A former Oklahoma City-based doctor has been arrested on nine murder complaints after authorities say eight patients died of prescription drug overdoses and another allegedly caused a fatal traffic accident.
The Oklahoman newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/1gdmSU2 ) that authorities arrested 71-year-old William Martin Valuck Friday at his home in Kilgore, Texas.
The newspaper says an Oklahoma judge on Thursday ordered Valuck arrested on the nine murder complaints and on 43 complaints of unlawful dispensing of controlled dangerous substances.
The Oklahoman said Valuck has not been charged but that agents consulted with prosecutors in preparing his arrest warrant.
The newspaper reports that Valuck's attorney, Danny Shadid, said Friday it would be premature for him to comment.
Shadid did not immediately respond to a phone message The Associated Press left at his office Sunday.
