LAREDO - When the Corpus Christi Hammerheads refused to board their bus for Laredo Monday, it left the Rattlesnakes with a win by forfeit and an extra day off. It also raised questions about the financial situation of Lone Star Football League team owner Chad Dittman, who runs teams in Laredo, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley. While the Hammerheads had their complaints heard on Monday, Laredo's coach Rod Miller told KGNS-TV that his players have been paid. Channel 5 Sports has tried to contact Dittman several times this week for a comment on the matter, but as of Thursday night our phone calls haven't been returned. Magic coach Schuyler Anderson says he fully expects his team to play Saturday night in Laredo.
