HOUSTON (AP) Shawn Glover scored 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting topping the 1,000-point plateau at Oral Roberts as the Golden Eagles beat Houston Baptist 80-66 Thursday night.
After falling behind 9-4 in the first 3 minutes of the game, Oral Roberts (13-12, 7-5 Southland Conference) used a 27-6 run to blow the game open. The Golden Eagles led by double-digits the rest of the way and by as many as 22 in the second half.
ORU tied a season high by making 33 field goals while shooting 55 percent from the floor and hitting 8 of 17 from 3-point range. Its 17 assists also tied a season high.
Rob Lewis was the only Houston Baptist (4-21, 1-12) player to score in double figures, finishing with 19 points, as the Huskies shot just 35.7 percent (20 of 56) from the field.
Korey Billbury added 12 points and nine rebounds for ORU.
