CAMERON COUNTY - A Cameron Park grocery owner will spend nearly four years in federal prison.
A federal judge sentenced Parviz Sheikh in a food stamp fraud case Tuesday. He was accused of giving people cash in exchange for food stamps.
Federal investigators report he would charge customers a small percentage for the transaction. It's believed he skimmed about $4 million from the federal government.
The 56-year-old man pleaded guilty last August. He also was ordered to pay $2.5 million in restitution.
