GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) Gaza's Hamas rulers are allowing a veteran West Bank newspaper to be distributed again after a six-year ban as part of a new reconciliation deal with their rival West Bank government.

Hamas' government spokesman Ihab Ghussein says permission was given for the delivery of Al-Quds to Gaza on Wednesday.

The ban on the West Bank's most widely circulated daily began in 2008, after the paper printed a claim that Hamas was behind a deadly Gaza explosion. Other West Bank papers are also banned.

The Fatah-dominated West Bank government has banned Gaza newspapers since Hamas wrested control of Gaza in 2007.

The two Palestinian factions reached a reconciliation pact last month. They plan to form a unity government in the coming weeks and hold national elections around year's end.
