The Navy Office of Community Outreach sends the information they collect about soldiers back to their hometown media.

They sent us a photo and details about U.S. Navy Fire Controlman (Aegis) 2nd Class Rafael Medina, a Harlingen native who recently participated in a board, search and seizure training exercise.

The exercise was conducted aboard the USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93), a guided missile destroyer where Medina serves that’s located in the Arabian Sea.

The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area to support naval operations in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean.
