Harlingen South Goes Outside Valley For New Head Football Coach

HARLINGEN - Harlingen South has a new head football coach/athletic coordinator--as the HCISD School Board approved Wayne "Lanny" Wilson to the position at the district's school board meeting on Tuesday night. Wilson comes to the Valley from Gonzalez, a district in Central Texas about an hour-and-a-half east of San Antonio, and played in district 38-3A. Wilson was Gonzalez's defensive coordinator--but has head coaching experience, as he was previously head coach at 5A Round Rock.
