BROWNSVILLE - A hearing is scheduled for today for a Central Texas attorney accused in the Judge Abel Limas bribery scandal. Today the judge will consider a request for a change of venue. Personal injury attorney Marc Rosenthal of Austin was indicted last august on 13 corruption charges.
Prosecutors say he bribed then judge Limas in exchange for favorable court rulings. Rosenthal's trial is scheduled for late September. His attorneys have asked that the case to be moved from Brownsville because of intense pre-trial publicity.
