KABUL (AP) The family of an ailing, pregnant American woman missing since October in Afghanistan with her Canadian husband has broken months of silence and is asking for the couple's safe return. James Coleman, of York County, tells The Associated Press his daughter Caitlan Coleman is due to deliver in January.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) A Mummers string band that had some of its props damaged in a warehouse fire in Philadelphia earlier this month says it's ready to strut in tomorrow's New Year's Day parade. The Fralinger (FRAY'-lin-jer) String Band tells the Philadelphia Daily News everything has been repaired.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Police say gunfire in a west Philadelphia bar injured three people. Officers responded to the Gold Coast Lounge in the Mantua section of the city just after 3 a.m. yesterday. Police say they found three men from 18 to 20 years old, all shot in the leg. No arrests have been announced.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) Andy Reid is out after 14 years coaching the Philadelphia Eagles. That's according to three people familiar with the decision who spoke to The Associated Press. A person who spoke on the condition of anonymity says there's a chance Reid might remain with the team in some capacity.
