Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst has asked senators to see if there are any new ways to save money.

BOTTINEAU, N.D. (AP) Two children have died and another child and a Texas man have been injured after authorities say a pickup truck crashed into a tent at a North Dakota campground. The accident happened early yesterday when the driver lost control of the truck while negotiating a curve. A five-year-old boy and a nine-year-old boy were killed, while 28-year-old Juan Ruiz of El Paso was flown to a hospital.

HOUSTON (AP) NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Jealous is the featured speaker today at the organization's annual conventions in Houston.
