HOUSTON (AP) Police say a gunman who was among three people killed in a shootout at a home near Texas A and M University earlier this week fired more than 65 rounds during the incident. New details about Monday's shooting in College Station were made public yesterday. Police say Thomas Caffall the Third fatally shot Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann and bystander Chris Northcliffe. He also wounded three officers and a female bystander. Funerals for Bachmann and Northcliffe are being held today.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) A former El Paso County commissioner has pleaded guilty to drug charges in a federal drug trafficking case. Willie Gandara Junior pleaded guilty in El Paso federal court yesterday to drug trafficking conspiracy and using a property for marijuana manufacturing. Gandara faces up to 20 years in prison on each count when he's sentenced November 14th.

DALLAS (AP) Dallas-based Southwest Airlines is raising fares on short routes by $10 per round trip, and other airlines are expected to match the increase. Yesterday's fare hike applied to flights of less than 500 miles each way, or about one-third of Southwest's routes.

DALLAS (AP) A Texas woman is suing the Dallas Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones, saying her buttocks were severely burned when she sat on a bench outside Cowboys Stadium. In a lawsuit filed last week in Tarrant Count, Jennelle Carrillo said the black marble bench was in direct sunlight on a hot August afternoon before a Cowboys scrimmage last year.
