SAN ANTONIO (AP) A tour bus carrying the popular Mexico-based Banda El Recodo toppled onto its side, injuring seven occupants, when it was sideswiped by a car on a South Texas highway. The driver of the car also suffered minor injuries in the Friday morning crash on Texas 123 about 45 miles southeast of San Antonio. The bus was carrying the band's 21-member traveling party from a Dallas engagement to a scheduled today in McAllen.

HOUSTON (AP) Authorities have identified the 25-year-old fan who died after falling from a fifth-floor escalator while attending a preseason Houston Texans' game at Reliant Stadium. The Harris County medical examiner's office identified the man late yesterday as Jonathon Kelly of Houston. No other details were immediately provided.

NEW YORK (AP) The big spike in gasoline prices is just about over, but it's too late to bring much relief for Labor Day weekend. The national average price for gasoline inched up just 0.3 cents yesterday to $3.83 per gallon, ending a string of dramatic increases caused by Hurricane Isaac shutting down rigs and refineries in the Gulf of Mexico.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) Effective Saturday, the Texas Forest Service take on a new name. Henceforth, the agency will be named the Texas A and M Forest Service. System Chancellor John Sharp proposed the changes earlier this year in an effort to better align A and M System marketing and branding efforts.
