TYLER, Texas (AP) Authorities say the body of a three-year-old autistic boy has been found near a marina after the toddler disappeared from his lakeside home a day earlier. Smith County Sheriff's Lieutenant Larry Wiginton say rescuers found the body of Evan Reed on Saturday near a Lake Palestine marina. The child's mother told authorities she last saw her son Friday evening on the couch.

LIVINGSTON, Texas (AP) A condemned death row inmate is preparing for his third trip to the Texas death chamber. Forty-eight-year-old Cleve Foster is hoping for another reprieve from the U.S. Supreme Court. Foster is set for lethal injection tomorrow unless the high court intercedes.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) SpaceX is buying land in South Texas near the site of a proposed private rocket launch facility. The Brownsville Herald reports the commercial space exploration firm has bought at least three lots in Cameron County. SpaceX already has a rocket factory near Waco.

DALLAS (AP) Big Tex is turning 60. The State Fair of Texas mascot celebrates his 60th birthday today at Fair Park in Dallas. The towering, hand-waving symbol has been greeting visitors to the fair since 1952.
