COPPELL, Texas (AP) Searchers are still looking for Coppell (kuh-PEHL') High School football star Jacob Logan, who disappeared yesterday after diving into Possum Kingdom Lake west of Fort Worth. Grief counselors are at the North Texas school. Coppell is one of the state's top-ranked teams.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The defense is getting its turn in the sentencing trial of the man convicted of killing an Arlington pastor. Lawyers are offering evidence to show why Steven Nelson should be spared the death penalty for killing Reverend Clint Dobson at NorthPointe Baptist Church. The prosecution rested Friday.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) University of Texas regents have approved a plan to offer online courses to students around the world. UT is joining a program that allows universities to offer interactive classes over the Internet. Harvard, MIT and Cal-Berkeley also are part of the program. The courses in the edX program don't count toward graduation.

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) Tourism in Galveston continues to turn around from the beating it took from Hurricane Ike in 2008. Officials report they had a record $8.4 million in tourism revenue from April to July this year. The previous record was $7.7 million last year.
