DALLAS (AP) Former Vice President Dick Cheney will headline a Dallas fundraiser for Mitt Romney with one of the GOP nominee's sons. Organizers say Cheney is expected to be joined tonight by Josh Romney. The private event will be held at the Frontiers of Flight Museum near Love Field.

SPRING, Texas (AP) Authorities say a man suspected of trying to steal copper wire has been found dead at an electrical substation near Houston. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said yesterday that it believes 37-year-old Harold Schneider was electrocuted in the theft process. A CenterPoint Energy worker found Schneider's body last night at a substation near Spring.

TYLER, Texas (AP) An East Texas woman has been arrested on charges she faked being a police officer, flashed a badge and robbed two men. Tyler police today charged 39-year-old Jennifer Cowser with two counts of impersonating a public servant. Bond was set at $300,000 for the Tyler woman. Police say the alleged robbery happened October 14th at a car wash.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) It turns out there will be another day for Scarlett O'Hara's green curtain dress. The iconic dress and Scarlett's burgundy ball gown from the 1939 film "Gone With the Wind" have been saved from deterioration by a $30,000 conservation effort by the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas. The dresses are now on display for the first time in nearly 30 years at London's Victoria and Albert Museum.
