AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Governor Rick Perry says President Barack Obama now has "a chance to start over" on health care. The one-time Republican presidential candidate has reacted to Obama's re-election by calling for a repeal of the federal health care overhaul.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Former Texas football coach Darrell Royal has died in Austin at age 88. Royal led the Longhorns to two national championships in 1963 and 1969, plus a share of a third in 1970. He suffered from Alzheimer's disease. The Longhorns will honor Royal at their game on Saturday with special helmet stickers and by lining up in the wishbone formation on their first play.

HOUSTON (AP) An engineering expert says a deadly fire at a Houston day care last year might have been caused by a refrigerator, not a stove. Prosecutors at the murder trial of Jessica Tata have said the fire started after oil in a pan ignited on a stovetop burner she had left on.
