HOUSTON (AP) Jurors face another day of deliberations to decide the sentence for a Houston woman convicted of murder following a 2011 fire at her home day care that killed four children. The jury is set to resume deliberations today in the punishment phase of the trial of Jessica Tata. She faces up to life in prison after being convicted of murder in the death of 16-month-old Elias Castillo.

MANSFIELD, Texas (AP) Authorities in North Texas have reported no injuries following a minor earthquake centered near Mansfield. The U.S. Geological Survey says the 2.3 magnitude quake was recorded last night. The area is about 20 miles southeast of Fort Worth.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Governor Rick Perry has treated some Texas military personnel to a holiday meal at the Governor's Mansion in Austin. Perry and his wife, Anita, hosted a luncheon yesterday for veterans and active-duty military members. More than a dozen people attended the event.

DALLAS (AP) Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings is set to discuss how the city plans to commemorate the 50th anniversary next year of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. A news conference is scheduled for this afternoon. Kennedy was assassinated while on parade in downtown Dallas on November 22, 1963.
