RAYMONDVILLE, Texas (AP) Investigators say four people have been killed and four hurt in an SUV rollover in South Texas. The Department of Public Safety says the accident happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday about 10 miles north of Raymondville on southbound U.S. 77. The accident killed 30-year-old Patricia Castro of Mercedes, 35-year-old Jason Anthony Mayhood of Brownsville, 20-year-old Enrique Rodriguez of Edcouch and 47-year-old Sanricardo Ramirez of Harlingen.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Nearly 800 new jobs will be coming to Austin thanks a new global information technology center being built by Visa U.S.A. Incorporated. Governor Rick Perry announced yesterday that Visa is constructing the IT center after the state offered the company $7.9 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund.

MIDLAND, Texas (AP) A long-haul trucker from West Texas has pleaded guilty in a 2011 multistate drug-transporting ring with ties to Mexico. Federal prosecutors in Midland say 37-year-old Rigoberto Marquez of Odessa pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon to conspiracy to distribute cocaine. No sentencing date was immediately set for Marquez, who faces up to 10 years in prison

FRISCO, Texas (AP) FC Dallas midfielder Daniel Hernandez is retiring from professional soccer. The club said in a statement released yesterday that Hernandez would retire immediately and move into a coaching role. The 36-year-old Hernandez has played for 5 MLS teams over a 13-season career. Hernandez is a native of Tyler and a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
