PARKER, Texas (AP) Fans and tourists are paying tribute to the memory of actor Larry Hagman, who died at the age of 81 on Friday. Several people laid flowers at Southfork Ranch in memory of the actor best known for his portrayal of the infamous oil man J.R. Ewing on the 1980s TV show "Dallas." A second generation of the show was revived on TNT this summer.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) A hiker has suffered non-life threatening injuries after being attacked by a mountain lion at Big Bend National Park. Authorities say part of the park has been closed so that rangers can look for the mountain lion and investigate Friday's animal altercation.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) The North Texas city of Arlington has issued few tickets since it started enforcing its driving-while-texting ban a year ago. Arlington police say they've issued 49 citations to drivers using phones for extended periods of time since last Thanksgiving. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports this weekend that San Antonio, Austin and El Paso have similar ordinances.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) Referee Matt Loeffler injured his right leg in the second quarter last night in Missouri's football game at Texas A and M. It was unclear how Loeffler was hurt. Trainers from both Texas A and M and Missouri checked him out before helping him to his feet at Kyle Field. The 9th ranked Aggies went on to a 59-29 win Saturday evening.
