Forty-five-year-old John Ray Falk Junior could be sentenced to death if he's convicted for the escape attempt that killed 59-year-old Susan Canfield.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) A teenage hacker says he took down a San Antonio school district's website this weekend to protest its policy requiring students to carry microchip-embedded cards that track their movement. A Northside district spokesman said he couldn't confirmed the site was hacked, but it wasn't working Saturday or Sunday.
DALLAS (AP) An off-duty Dallas police officer died this weekend during a head-on collision north of San Antonio. Senior Corporal Recardo Trejo died Saturday afternoon in Kendall County. He'd worked for Dallas police for 36 years.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) San Antonio officials plan to hold a special ceremony today to honor a police officer who was injured while rescuing a driver from a burning car. Officer German Huerta was responding to a call when a car sped past him, hit a concrete barrier and rolled several times before catching fire this weekend. He pulled a woman inside to safety.
