SAN ANTONIO (AP) An Air Force trainer at a San Antonio base is set to having a hearing today about whether he should be court-martialed for having improper relationships with trainees. Staff Sergeant Christopher Jackson is accused of having "unprofessional relationships" with two trainees at Lackland Air Force Base. He's also accused of obstructing justice.
DALLAS (AP) Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst will offer a preview of upcoming legislative priorities today when he delivers a lunchtime speech to Dallas business group. Dewhurst presides over the Texas Senate and has said he wants the chamber to produce a state spending plan for the next two years that's close to or below the inflation rate.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) There's an outstanding warrant for the senior member of the top Texas criminal appeals court because he never paid a $193 fine for a 2008 speeding ticket. Judge Lawrence Meyers has been involved in a long-running dispute with the city of Austin over the citation.
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) A traveling exhibit showcasing artifacts and memorabilia belonging to Pope John Paul the Second will head to Lubbock next year. The showcase opens on March 15th.
