FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The military judge has been removed from the case of an Army officer who's accused of a 2009 rampage at Fort Hood, ending lengthy delays in the murder trial. A military court of appeals says Colonel Gregory Gross wasn't impartial while presiding over the case of Major Nidal Hasan, who's charged with killing 13 people.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Republican Comptroller Susan Combs will release a report today on state pensions. It's the last report in a series on public money in Texas.

PALESTINE, Texas (AP) The Texas State Railroad will perform an afternoon test on a new three-mile section of track linking the East Texas rail attraction to the Union Pacific railroad. The rail route hasn't been used commercially since 1969.

DALLAS (AP) Forecasters say the unseasonably warm temperatures are expected to last through the week as the drought continues. The National Weather Service says the warm and dry temperatures will remain at least through the weekend.
