AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Texas will provide more than $1 million for an information technology center near Dallas that will create 500 jobs. Governor Rick Perry today announced the funding for the TEKsystems Global Services project in Irving.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) The founder of a Texas cargo airline has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in a child porn case. Prosecutors say investigators found more than 2,000 pornographic images on Robert Hedrick's computer. And they say he had sexual online chats with undercover police officers posing as young girls.

DALLAS (AP) Two Irving women who say they were subjected to a humiliating body cavity search during a traffic stop are suing the Department of Public Safety. The women say the roadside search recorded by a patrol car camera was illegal. Officers questioned the women about drugs but didn't find any.

HOUSTON (AP) The price of gasoline across Texas has fallen six cents this week to an average of $3.03 per gallon. Experts predict nearly 7.7 million Texans will be driving to holiday destinations during the 11-day holiday period starting on Saturday.
