AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A person familiar with the situation says Lance Armstrong confessed to using performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France. Armstrong's comments to Oprah Winfrey will be broadcast later this week on Winfrey's OWN network. The Austin-based cyclist was stripped of all seven Tour titles last year.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A parent and a child are expected to testify today in a lawsuit that challenges how Texas schools receive state funding. The case that was brought by more than 600 school districts is entering its final weeks as attorneys try to define what qualifies as the most efficient way to spend money on public schools.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) Louisiana officials are modifying orders requiring Texas Brine Company to assess the status of sediments under an 8.5-acre sinkhole. The move prompted the Houston company to withdraw a lawsuit filed last month against Louisiana.

DALLAS (AP) Movers have begun bringing items into the George W. Bush Library and Museum. The facility that's inside the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas will house more than 40,000 artifacts from his time in the White House. The center will be dedicated in April.
