WEATHERFORD, Texas (AP) A confidential report about contaminated water wells in a Fort Worth suburb shows that the EPA changed course after an oil company threatened not to cooperate with a national study into hydraulic fracturing. Federal regulators initially declared an emergency and ordered Range Resources to clean up the tainted water, but then reversed itself.

HOUSTON (AP) A man who's accused of vandalizing a 1929 Pablo Picasso painting is set to appear in a Houston court today after he surrendered to U.S. marshals last week at the U.S.-Mexico border. Uriel Landeros is charged with felony graffiti and criminal mischief after authorities say he spray-painted the piece at the Menil Collection in Houston.
