DALLAS (AP) Jurors could begin deliberations today in the trial of a Dallas woman who's accused of denying water to her 10-year-old stepson, who eventually died of dehydration. Closing arguments are scheduled in the trial of Tina Marie Alberson, who's charged with felony injury to a child for the 2011 death of Jonathan James.

TYLER, Texas (AP) Testimony will resume next week in the murder trial of a retired East Texas dentist who's accused in the shooting death of his wife. Prosecutors rested their case against 76-year-old Bobby Ray Nichols. His lawyers are set to begin laying out their arguments on Wednesday.

MCALLEN, Texas (AP) The sons of two prominent South Texas law enforcement officials are among three ex-officers who were arraigned yesterday on allegations they took money to escort drug loads. An indictment says the three, along with a fourth officer, accepted thousands of dollars in bribes to escort drug loads in a federal sting operation.

AURORA, Colo. (AP) Plano-based Cinemark Holdings is reopening its movie theater in Aurora, Colorado for the first time since a July attack where 12 people died. The former Century 16 multiplex was renovated and has been renamed Century Aurora.
