SAN ANTONIO (AP) Two separate crashes in Central Texas have left two men dead and four others injured. In one crash, 40-year-old Francisco Ledesma of Seguin died in Guadalupe County early yesterday morning when the vehicle he was driving rolled. Four passengers were injured and taken to a hospital in San Antonio. In the other accident, 52-year-old Richard Muniz of Hondo was killed in Medina County when his pickup truck drove off the road and hit some brush on Friday.

WEATHERFORD, Texas (AP) A North Texas man has been jailed on a murder charge after allegedly saying "voices" told him to take a pickax to the head of another man. Nicholas Camfield of Weatherford remains jailed in Parker County on $1 million bond.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) A second high-ranking school district administrator in El Paso is stepping down after district officials received findings from an expanding forensic investigation into academic cheating. The El Paso Times has confirmed the retirement of Maria Flores, associate superintendent of elementary schools. Flores once worked at Bowie High School, the center of the standardized test cheating scandal.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) Texas A and M has agreed in principle to give coach Kevin Sumlin a contract extension and a raise after he led the Aggies to 11 wins in his first season with the team. Sumlin, who was hired from Houston after Mike Sherman was fired, recently completed the first year of a five-year contract worth $2 million a year.
