HOUSTON (AP) A second suspect in a shooting at a Houston-area college is in the Harris County Jail. Trey Foster was arrested early today in a Dallas suburb. Foster and Carlton Berry are facing charges of aggravated assault in Tuesday's shooting that injured three people.

HOUSTON (AP) Prosecutors have dismissed the remaining charges against a Houston day care provider convicted of murder in the fire death of a toddler. Jessica Tata is serving an 80-year prison sentence and a Harris County assistant DA says she wouldn't receive a longer sentence if tried in the deaths of more of the children who were in her care. Four kids died in the fire.

PENITAS, Texas (AP) A teacher at a South Texas high school has been accused of having sex with an 18-year-old student. The La Joya (luh HOH'-yuh) Independent School District has suspended the teacher, 60-year-old Ruperto Salinas Villalon.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) Authorities have seized more than 25 dogs from a Brownsville home after some of the animals attacked their owners. The two women were mauled yesterday at feeding time. A city ordinance prohibits Brownsville residents from owning more than three dogs.
