NEDERLAND, Texas (AP) Funeral is set in Southeast Texas for a Houston man killed when al-Qaida-affiliated militants attacked a remote natural gas plant in the Algerian desert. Victor Lovelady's family says the contract worker for BP PLC is to arrive back in Southeast Texas today. A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, a suburb of Beaumont and Port Arthur.

GILMER, Texas (AP) A grand jury has indicted a former East Texas county commissioner and his son on charges accusing them of holding a state game warden at gunpoint. The incident happened October 6th when the state game warden checking for hunting law violations on private land was disarmed and held by two armed men. Upshur County grand jurors in Gilmer indicted former Upshur County Commissioner Lloyd Allen Crabtree and his 28-year-old son, Todd Crabtree.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) San Francisco's district attorney won't file criminal charges against 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree after reviewing evidence of an alleged sexual assault in a hotel after the team's playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers. After examining a "thorough investigation" submitted by police, District Attorney George Gascon yesterday that his office determined that no charges would be filed "at this time."

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Entergy Corporation has created a $5 million endowment to honor retiring Chairman and CEO J. Wayne Leonard. Entergy delivers electricity to 2.8 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
