ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) The North Texas university where Kalpana Chawla earned her master's degree in aerospace engineering has honored her on the 10th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Columbia crash. She was part of the seven-member crew who died in the disaster on February 1st, 2003. The University of Texas at Arlington marked the anniversary at 7:59 a.m. yesterday. That's the moment when NASA Mission Control lost radio contact with the shuttle as it broke apart over East Texas.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Texas assistant football coach Major Applewhite has acknowledged he was disciplined by the school for having an inappropriate relationship with a student at the 2009 Fiesta Bowl. Park officials say 39-year-old Troy Green of San Antonio had planned to attend a conference in Denver, about 65 miles south of the park. His wife notified Denver police when she didn't hear from him Thursday.
