STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) The man charged with killing a former Navy SEAL and his friend over the weekend is on a suicide watch. The Erath County sheriff says Eddie Ray Routh was shocked with a stun gun and restrained his jail cell after becoming aggressive last night. Routh is accused of shooting Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield at a shooting range.
IRVING, Texas (AP) Boy Scouts and their families are urging the organization to end its no-gay policy. They've delivered a petition to the national headquarters in Irving that they say was signed by 1.4 million people. The Boy Scout leadership will consider ending the ban at a meeting this week.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Attorneys challenging the way Texas pays for schools say the state should be embarrassed by its public education system. They gave closing arguments today in a lawsuit by hundreds of school districts mostly in poorer areas of the state. The state argues schools are adequately funded. The judge is expected to rule later today.

Perry's office says the report on the value of the tech fund includes the potential losses to give lawmakers a clearer picture of the fund's condition.
