LANCASTER, Texas (AP) Authorities say an Iraq War veteran said he gunned own a former Navy SEAL and his friend because he didn't trust them and thought they'd kill him first. Eddie Ray Routh is charged with killing Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield at a Texas shooting range over the weekend. A Lancaster police affidavit says Routh claimed everyone was out to get him.

GEORGETOWN, Texas (AP) A former district attorney says he can't remember being in possession of any evidence that could have prevented a wrongful murder conviction. Michael Morton spent nearly 25 years in prison after being convicted of his wife's death. In a deposition, Ken Anderson says he doesn't know if he ever had any documents showing that Morton's son said a "monster," and not his father, committed the crime.

WACO, Texas (AP) Four-term Texas state legislator M.A. Taylor has died at the age of 85. Family members say the former state representative died yesterday. Taylor represented the Waco area in the state House before serving as chairman of the McLennan County Republican Party for 14 years.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) Rocky Mountain National Park officials say a body found in the Colorado park may be that of a missing Texas man. Officials say the body was found by two people snowshoeing in the park yesterday. Larimer County coroner's officials will conduct an autopsy to confirmer whether it is the body of 39-year-old Troy Green of San Antonio.
