LANCASTER, Texas (AP) Police say a cellphone seized from the home of an Iraq War veteran accused of killing a former Navy SEAL and his friend may contain pictures of him with the victims before their deaths. Documents released by Lancaster police show several items were seized after Eddie Ray Routh's arrest. Authorities say Routh killed ex-Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield last Saturday at a gun range.

GEOGRETOWN, Texas (AP) A juror who helped wrongfully convict a Texas man for murder says he wishes he would have had a chance to see more evidence during the trial. Michael Morton spent nearly 25 years in prison for killing his wife before he was freed in 2011. Mark Landrum testified yesterday that evidence would've lent credibility to defense theories that an intruder did the killing.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) David Dewhurst's Senate campaign has accused former campaign manager Kenneth Barfield of embezzling at least $1 million from the campaign. The Justice Department has joined the Travis County district attorney's office investigation of Barfield. The campaign also submitted 11 amended finance reports covering the last five years.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A Texas lawmaker has introduced a bill that would make it more difficult to use unmanned aerial drones in the state. Representative Lance Gooden wants to make it illegal to use a drone to monitor private property without express permission or a search warrant. Gooden's proposal would restrict drone operators from collecting images, sounds and smells.
