SAN ANTONIO (AP) A court martial is set to start today in San Antonio for an Air Force basic training instructor who's accused of sexual misconduct. Staff Sergeant Craig Leblanc was an instructor at Lackland Air Force Base, where every American airman receives basic training. Military prosecutors charged him with obstruction of justice and making a false official statement as well as sexual assault and using his post to pursue sexual relationships with female trainees.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Carnival Cruise Lines says a fire in an engine room disabled a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico with about 4,200 passengers and crew on board. The Triumph, which cruises from Galveston to the Caribbean, will be towed to Mexico.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Fort Worth police shot and killed a man this weekend after investigators say he drove his vehicle at them. The 22-year-old died at the scene. Authorities say he was suspected in an earlier shooting.

TEMPLE, Texas (AP) Crews in the Central Texas town of Temple are cleaning up after a strong thunderstorm blew through the community yesterday. The storm uprooted trees and peeled off part of the roof on an apartment complex. No one was injured.
